185 Associate Product Manager - Medical Device, Spine  (Job ID: 185 APM - Spine)

Position Summary:

The Associate Product Manager - Medical Device, Spine will define and institute marketing strategies and plans for a medical device company which specializes in spinal products and systems.  This position will design and implement all aspects of the new product introductions, monitor product launch results, and maintain marketing functions for the cervical, thoracolumbar, and interbody minimally invasive spinal implants.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and implement marketing plans, including objectives, strategies, tactics, and P&L projections for MIS Spinal products.
• Implement marketing activities for new product development, including concept review and design development, project management, and product launch
• Analysize customer needs and competitor products to evaluate product lines
• Design marketing documents, sales support materials, and customer service and operations
• Develop product profiles for white papers, presentations, corporate web sites and seminars
• Monitor product development progress to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner
• Work with sales and sales training to educate field personnel,. including co-travels.
• Assist in the design and implementation of surgeon training courses, including cadaver labs  

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mechanical Engineer, Biology, or a related field
• MBA with 1 to 3 years of experience preferred

Position Requirements:

• 2 years experience with biological products, preferably in the medical device industry.
• -OR-  MBA plus 1 minimum of year of experience with biological, spine, CMF or orthopedic products
• Must have working experience with medical or surgical products in sales or marketing
• Must have work experience with market analysis, market planning, market development and management
• Must have knowledge of strategic and tactical planning and implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a strong technical and conceptual aptitude
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must be willling to travel an average of 30%
