172 Electronics Test Engineer II, Medical Device (Job ID: 172 Eng2)
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for investigating, planning, and implementing the more complex improvements in and/or additions to current products and manufacturing processes for a medical device manufacturer. You will ensure compliance to quality policy, respond to customer complaints, perform audits, develop test methods, and write procedures for material characterization for Class II-III medical devices.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Maintain & follow proper ISO procedures and GMP requirements with special knowledge of 13485 standards
· Plan and implement specified projects to be completed including organizing and leading members of various sections, planning and scheduling, coordination resources
· Have strong background in electronic testing and trouble-shooting
· Provide engineering expertise in the design, fabrication, development, installation, validation, and qualification of equipment/product which may include feasibility studies and/or proper documentation for justification of project and training to ensure proper operation of equipment
· Research and implement cost reduction projects
· Interacts with suppliers in an attempt to resolve test/manufacturing issues
· Works with material team members to ensure product availability/functionality
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
· Master’s strongly preferred
· SME certification a plus
Position Requirements:
· 5 yrs experience in an engineering environment for designing, specifying, fabricating, assembling, testing, validating, and debugging machinery, product and manufacturing process
· Ability to solve complex engineering problems or implement solutions or processes for manufacturing
· Industrial Engineering Association membership a plus
· Sound knowledge of statistical techniques, engineering drafting and personal computer knowledge, Windows based knowledge
· Knowledge and utilization of electronic / chemical equipment and tools in laboratory testing, inspection systems, etc.
· Knowledge of the following: GMP/FDA/ISO standards and protocols,
· Knowledge of QA, QSR and MDR regulations.
