As Director of Wireless Connectivity, you will develop strategy for connectivity for medical devices and provide software application strategies for the infusion pump sector of a global medical products and services company with expertise in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
Position Responsibilities :
- Software application strategies: communicating w/ various groups re: data on the pumps (e.g. biomedical engineers to manage the pumps/remote, diagnose pumps; tell pharmacists when infusions are ending; alert someone of drug incompatibility on pumps)
- Systems architecture: Voice of Customer - translate customer requirements into plans that engineers can turn into products
- Create product roadmap
- Build alliances with 3rd party info systems
- Strategy for connectivity space
- Managing products/product line
- Develop and grow a business
Educational Requirements:
· B.S. Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
· MBA /MS preferred
Position Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in IT within the Medical Device industry
- Infusion pump wireless connectivity experience
- Product experience which includes products which communicate with 3rd party info systems (e.g. ventilators, monitors)
- Background in hospital systems - understand networking to point of care (POC) equipment
