181 Project Manager, Orthopedics (181 PM)

This position is responsible for managing the design and product development of the company’s orthopedic product portfolio as directed by business. The selected candidate will lead the product development effort and ensure the overall program meets clinical, regulatory, marketing and commercial objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

·  Lead cross functional teams through all phases of product development, from concept to production ·  Plan projects in a systematic way by identifying and organizing all required activities assigning, responsibilities and setting realistic, but aggressive, timelines for completion·  Track project performance against plan and corporate milestones with quantitative measures to assure goal attainment

·  Maintain detailed and comprehensive Design Control and quality system documentation, including Design History Files, to support FDA and other regulatory submissions

Position Requirements:  

·  Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree

·  4-5 years experience in the medical device industry, orthopedics experience preferred, in a project management/engineering role. Thorough understanding of the development, design, validation and manufacture of medical devices

·  The ideal candidate will have successfully launched new medical device products into the market

·  Demonstrated project management skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Project or other advanced planning and estimating tools

·  Thorough understanding of the Design Control Process and best practices, including familiarity with government regulations relevant to product approvals

·  Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a cross functional team

·  Osteobiologics experience preferred
