Strategic Business Development Manager – Imaging, OEM SalesJob ID: 127 SBDM 

The successful candidate will provide leadership in the identification, prioritization, evaluation, negotiation and relationship management of complex, strategic relationships at the OEM level with large national and multinational medical X-ray imaging companies.  

Position Summary:   

  • Understanding of the imaging protocols, software, PACS, Dicom, image manipulation and storage, data transfer, imaging modalities and dynamic and complex relationships. Familiarity with the Imaging / Radiology / Radiologic Software technology marketplace is critical.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, in both a team and independent environment.
  • Familiarity with the Imaging / Radiology / Radiologic Software technology marketplace is critical.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo to drive significant increases in high-margin, recurring revenue.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex technology deals; radiology experience preferred
  • Experience with creating and leveraging new markets and new channels is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, business-related discipline with an MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of strategic alliance or business development experience preferred in the Imaging Industry. 

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Quickly and accurately assess Global OEM Imaging & Radiology business models and products, including new products in development and trends affecting our Client’s business interests.
  • Analyze sales opportunities from both strategic and financial aspect.
  • Offer comprehensive solutions to optimize a sophisticated OEM Imaging Companies based on a thorough understanding of a multitude of imaging modalities and products and pipeline relative to our Client’s strong portfolio of Radiographic, fluoroscopic, CR, DR, RF, X-Ray and ancillary offerings.
  • Prepare findings and recommendations and drive creative and strategic business models that lead to multi-year contract agreements, Lead due diligence, negotiation and sign-to-close process.
  • Provides weekly activity/call reports, trip/travel reports, and weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts/activity.  

JOB DESCRIPTION 

  • Generate new business by scanning the global imaging marketplace and developing a solid strategy to attack new accounts, new markets, and to assist in the evolution of our product development.
  • Extensive travel, up to 50%, nationally and internationally to new and existing accounts.  Goal is to develop a deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies, and to then sell the capabilities and values of our Client’s company and associated technology.
  • Negotiating and closing complex deals that benefit our Client including multi-year OEM and reseller agreements with major Radiology Companies.
  • Ability to work with engineering with the goal of locking in custom engineering contract developments with existing and prospective OEM partners.
  • Provides weekly activity/call reports, trip/travel reports, and weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts/activity.
  • Meet all sales and business development goals, including profitability as measured by gross margins.
  • Working with Finance, Customer Care, Operations, Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales and other internal departments to understand their strategic priorities and creatively identify partnership opportunities to support those priorities.
  • Establishing metrics to analyze and track performance of partner initiatives.
