C# Application Framework Architect
The client company is a privately held company focused on providing market-leading medical products to the orthopedic markets. The company has developed several patent-pending advanced orthopedic technologies that address the needs of patients requiring joint and bone replacement. We are seeking a software engineer with a strong background in CAD automation. The position will be responsible for the development of software components and procedures used to generate patient-specific implant designs from medical images.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of imaging specialists, software and mechanical engineers and surgeons.
- Design, implement and test automated CAD and image processing algorithms.
- Coordinate with other team members to determine software requirements.
- Assist with GUI development.
- Develop software validation and bench testing protocols.
- Perform and document all R&D efforts according to the company’s FDA and ISO quality system procedures
Educational Requirement:
- BS & MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Microsoft Certifications on .Net (MCSD)
Qualifications
- Practicing application architect with 7+ yrs of experience, with 2 years framework/architecture experience.
- Strong expertise in: C#, C++, Computer Graphics, CAD / CAM, OpenGL, OOD, OOP, NURBS, .NET, Windows, GUI.
- Experience with .Net Windows Forms GUI framework.
- Ability to work effectively with large 3rd party libraries.
- Experience designing scripting functionality within 3D graphics editing application.
- Experience with Qt.
- Solid background in mathematics, computational geometry and computer graphics / visualization.
- Experience in manipulating lines, volumes, surfaces, & meshes.
- Experience in medical software imaging (3D rendering, segmentation algorithms, CT/MRI imaging) is highly preferred
