Regional Sales Manager, Imaging (Job ID 143 Sales)


Our client, a leading imaging company providing solutions for all modalities including PET, PET-CT, General Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Ultrasound, Echocardiology, and Cath Labs is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for targeting a mixture of existing and prospective GPO and IDN accounts, as well as providing technical support for business partners in their assigned region to identify business opportunities, cross-sell additional solutions, and establish strategic relationships with prospective and current accounts. Additional duties include working
in conjunction to direct field based sales reps by helping them capitalize on their relationships with the customer to drive PACS, RIS, and peripheral product sales, in addition to direct sales activities. The ideal candidate is a licensed nuclear medicine technologist who can communicate with the target accounts. Sales experience is a plus.

There are 3 expansion positions available (NE, West, and Midwest regions) which can be based anywhere near a major airport.

PRIMARY Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of PACS, RIS, and peripheral lines by determining the strategic selection of product(s) appropriate to the clients needs.
  • Meet quota and margin expectation
  • Coordinate the vendor and company quotation process
  • Manage product demonstrations required to close the sale
  • Call on Hospital IDNs and GPOs
  • Maintain knowledge of PACS technologies to stay on top of evolving trends in the PACS technology
  • Identify, understand, and document all client requirements for workflow, departmental interdependencies, existing IS hardware, existing PACS systems and projected growth in the area of clinical imaging and budget requirements
  • Use technical graphics and animations to illustrate proposed design of system to present plans to client
  • Initiate lead generation by analyzing customer information and support of Sales
  • Provide technical sales support as a PACS/Network/Work flow export
  • Partner with Service Management on issues of installation and applications
  • Research product field intelligence in accordance with marketing initiatives.
  • Manage personal expenses within assigned guidelines
  • Conduct field training for Sales Consultants when required to assure their education on new and existing PACS equipment capabilities

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 Years Sales or Sales Management experience in Imaging, PACS, RIS
  • Bachelor degree preferred with 3+ years sales experience
  • Thorough understanding of client workflow in variety of imaging settings (Community Hospital, Modality specific departments, Imaging Centers, Orthopaedic Centers, etc)
  • Experience in Radiology Capital Equipment & PACS Sales. Demonstrated sales experience with one of the following modalities; CT, MRI, CR, DR, RIS & EMR systems, with prior PACS sales required.
  • Ability to work at the department level and C-level customer management and the ability to communicate with executive management
  • 50% travel within territory
